RARE FISH
Legendary and mythical fish
The official species API records fish names, maps and catches, not fixed rarity tiers. Community guides group these ten heavy species as five legendary and five mythical fish. Goliath Snapper is the swamp heavyweight. Glass Snapper is a community name that the API does not use.
Per-fish depth in meters, required weather, and a clock time are not in the API. This table keeps map, tier, max weight, and baits that have catches. Anything else is marked unconfirmed.
Rare species: observed data and classification evidence
The official species API supplies maps, observed catches, weights and bait names, but no tier, required depth, weather, time or fish coordinates. Bait names mean at least one recorded catch—not best, exclusive or guaranteed bait. Tier evidence is kept separate from API fields.

MOBY is a rod, not a fish
The 1.0 notes unlock MOBY as a rod after the boss. The species list has no Moby fish. Read the separate MOBY rod guide. Rhizodus, the Lake mythical, is the fish that requires this rod.
Questions
Do I need a specific weather?
Rain and thunderstorms raise bait score in the general rules. A per-fish weather lock is not published.
Why is Sperm Whale under mythical?
The API places it on The Jungle, and community tables rank it mythical, not legendary.
