Privacy policy

gonefishing.pro loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra advertising by default. There is no “accept before anything loads” gate: the notice tells you what is running and gives you a Reject button that turns all three off for 180 days.

Default load and your choice

On your first visit there is no stored choice. Google Consent Mode defaults ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization to denied, while analytics_storage is granted. GA4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra scripts are nevertheless requested on the first visit; the banner is a notice and withdrawal control, not a gate. Accept grants all four storage signals. Reject records refusal for 180 days, denies all four Google storage signals, and reloads the page without GA4, Clarity or Adsterra. Reloading unloads already-running vendor code; it does not erase cookies already set. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner, so a refusal can be changed later.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC), the site records a refusal without waiting for a click. Do Not Track is not used as a signal. The same 180-day record applies.

Google Analytics 4

Measurement ID G-E8B3DJR54E. The gtag.js loader is requested from www.googletagmanager.com and GA4 collection from www.google-analytics.com; this site does not configure a Google Tag Manager container. GA4 receives the page URL and title, referrer, screen and device information, approximate location derived from the request, and interaction events such as page views, scrolls and outbound clicks. We do not send names, email addresses or other account identifiers to GA4, and we do not use it for advertising personalization.

GA4 sets the _ga cookie (two years) to distinguish browsers and a _ga_ cookie (two years) to keep session state. Google Analytics retention depends on the property settings and data type. The review did not inspect the property retention configuration, so no site-specific retention period is claimed. Google may process the data outside your country under its own safeguards. Legal basis: consent under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) where consent is required, and our legitimate interest in aggregate traffic measurement under Art. 6(1)(f) where local law allows it.

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity project z23k5gtzuc. The tag loads from www.clarity.ms, with supporting scripts and collection hosts under scripts.clarity.ms and dynamically assigned subdomains of clarity.ms (including one-letter hostnames observed in our browser audit). Clarity records session replays, heatmaps and click/scroll behaviour so we can see where the guide is hard to use. Form inputs and other sensitive content are masked by Clarity’s default masking settings; we do not configure it to capture them.

Microsoft documents possible Clarity cookies including _clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM; which ones appear depends on browser and consent context. Ordinary recording data is retained for 30 days; labelled or favourited sessions and heatmaps may be retained for 13 months under Microsoft’s published policy. Legal basis: consent under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) where required, and legitimate interest in usability measurement under Art. 6(1)(f) where local law allows it.

Adsterra

Adsterra publisher 3403020, website 6143981: NativeBanner_1 (unit 31878218) in the content column and SocialBar_1 (unit 31878219) as the fixed bottom bar. Adult advertising is switched off in the Adsterra panel for this website. Adsterra and its demand partners receive the page URL, referrer, device and browser information, approximate location and ad interaction data, and use cookies for frequency capping, fraud prevention, attribution and personalised advertising where you have not rejected it.

Adsterra’s unit scripts are requested from bicea.org and its creatives from adsterra.com and advertising-partner domains. Those domains set their own ad-delivery cookies; the exact names are chosen by the network and appear in your browser’s site data for bicea.org, adsterra.com, and partner hosts. We do not merge Adsterra data with your contact details. Adsterra controls its retention under its own policy; we do not keep a copy. Legal basis: consent under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and, for essential fraud prevention, legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f).

YouTube

The trailer is a local thumbnail from this origin. No YouTube request is made until you press play. That click creates an iframe to youtube-nocookie.com in privacy-enhanced mode; YouTube (Google) then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies for playback, preferences and abuse prevention. We do not control those cookies. Legal basis: your action in requesting the video, and YouTube’s own terms for the playback.

Cookies and localStorage

The table lists our own keys and common documented vendor cookies. It is not an exhaustive inventory of dynamically changing advertising-partner cookies. The live browser audit found Google, Clarity and Adsterra hosts as named above; no other first-party integration is enabled. We do not configure a Google Tag Manager container or a separate consent-management SDK.

Retention and legal bases

Your choice is kept for 180 days, then treated as absent. GA4 retention depends on its property settings and data type; this audit has not verified those settings. Clarity normally retains recordings for 30 days and heatmaps or labelled/favourited sessions for 13 months. Adsterra keeps its own ad-delivery and fraud logs under its policy; we do not receive or store them.

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the legal basis for analytics and advertising storage is consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); use Reject to withdraw it. Essential fraud prevention and security rely on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). Outside those regions we rely on the same choices and on our legitimate interest in running and measuring the site.

Your rights and contact

You can withdraw consent at any time with Reject or Cookie settings. You can delete gf_consent and gf_adsterra_bar_closed in your browser’s site data; deleting gf_consent makes the next visit default-on again. For access, correction, deletion, objection or a complaint, email [email protected] and say which right you are using. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. We do not sell personal information.

Policy changes are edits to this page, with the date at the bottom. If a vendor is added, it is named here before its script ships.

Questions

Do you load analytics before I click Accept?

Yes. With no stored choice, GA4, Clarity and Adsterra load. Google ad storage signals default to denied, while analytics_storage is granted. Reject stops the Clarity and Adsterra scripts and denies all four Google storage signals for 180 days.

What exactly does Reject do?

It writes a denied record, updates Google signals to denied and reloads without GA4, Clarity or Adsterra, unloading already-running scripts. It does not delete cookies the vendors already set; clear site data for clarity.ms, bicea.org and adsterra.com if you want those gone.

What about YouTube after I press play?

The iframe is youtube-nocookie.com in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube’s own policy applies to that playback and to any cookies it sets then.
