THE GAME

What is GONE Fishing?

GONE Fishing is a first-person co-op survival horror fishing game by GONE Studios. One to eight players share a Windows lobby on Steam. Early Access started 15 June 2025. Version 1.0 shipped 20 October 2026 at 10:24 UTC, build 26070136.

Despite the name, this is not a magnetic fishing toy or a family board game. Steam lists a survival-horror loop: fish by day, meet an altar quota, and deal with creatures after dark.

What 1.0 added

The 20 October 2026 announcement describes a proper ending, eight trinkets, new fish, bait, traps, and hats, plus stability work. Beating the boss unlocks the MOBY rod. Rhizo, a mythical fish in deep Lake water, needs that rod. Trinkets sit beside rod, line, and sinker upgrades. The 22 October patch still talks about those upgrade costs, so trinkets did not replace them.
