LEGENDARY · THE LAKE

Lochness Monster

Lochness Monster, also called Nessie in community notes, is a legendary on The Lake. The official species API on 23 October 2026 recorded a max weight of 98,412.31 lb, an average of 19,664.99 lb, 245 catches, and a max value of 11,399.47.

A 3 October 2026 patch, cited by gone-fishing.wiki, set a minimum bait score of 175 and called for deep water. A meter depth, a required weather, and a time of day are not published. Do not treat a forum coordinate as a spawn.

What is recorded

Baits with catches on the API include Chopped Bait XLarge, Human, Spider Jungle Ragdoll, Chopped Bait Heart, Frog Tribesman Ragdoll, and Ivan Ragdoll. Heart bait raises a qualifying 1-in-50 to 1-in-25. It does not skip the score requirement.

Questions

Is this the BBC Nessie?

No. This is a fish in the game. The television series is a different page.

Can I catch it on day one?

The 175 score and deep water make that unlikely. The patch does not publish a minimum day.
