SHORT · NOT THE GAME

Gone Fishing (2017)

Gone Fishing (2017) is a two-minute Disney animated short tied to Moana, directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. It is not the 2026 horror game and it is not the 1997 Joe Pesci film.

D23 dates the short to 7 March 2017, as a bonus on the Moana Blu-ray. Dwayne Johnson voices Maui. Auliʻi Cravalho voices Moana. On Motunui, Maui fishes with the magic hook and the ocean keeps the joke going.

Where to watch

The confirmed home is the Moana Blu-ray and DVD bonus. Whether Disney+ includes the short was not verified, so this page will not claim that it does. Check the service in your country. Do not mix this short up with other films that reused the title in 2008 or 2012.
